WELCOME TO THE STORY OF THE VOYAGES OF MV STARR IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC Hello Friends, This part of our website is about our voyages from Seattle to Mexico and throughout the South Pacific. In 2001 we traveled from Cabos San Lucas to the Marquesas Islands and on to New Zealand; in 2002 we returned to the Marquesas and once again traveled back to New Zealand. These voyages took place from November 2000 to December 2002. In December 2002 we shipped STARR to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where we stayed until June 2003. June 1 we left Florida and crossed the Atlantic Ocean, stopping in Bermuda, and the Azores and landing in La Rochelle, on the Atlantic Coast of France. We fell in love with La Rochelle and made it our home base for the remainder of the 2003 cruising season. Here we tell the story of Starr up until the time that we leave Florida.
